IMMERSIONS
Cultural and Academic Immersions are a Balance of Learning, Service, and Culture
We facilitate Critical Service-Learning (CSL) immersions in Mexico and Guatemala through our local partners and alliances for graduate, undergraduate, and high school students.
We offer Global Citizen Cultural Exchanges in Mexico and Guatemala for individuals who are passionate about social justice and want to learn how they can make a difference.
Natik has long-term relationships of trust with partners in Mexico, and Guatemala.
Our commitment to the long-term accompaniment of local organizations working in education, health, and sustainable livelihoods makes us an exceptional ally for academic institutions that are interested in establishing relationships with organizations in the region.
We are in a unique position to craft interactive learning experiences that explore the complexity of regional issues such as marginalization, poverty, environmental degradation, violence, and migration.
All of our Critical Service Learning Immersions and Global Citizen Cultural Experiences are planned in collaboration with our Alliances and Partners.

We include social, political, economic, and historical contexts shared by local experts with cultural diversity and natural beauty in our custom-crafted trip itineraries.
Natik encourages Immersion participants to share what they’ve learned when they return home. In the past, this has included webinars, seminars, articles in newspapers and professional journals, interviews on local media, and/or fundraising on behalf of a Natik Partner.
We’re happy to collaborate with professors who are interested in facilitating course-based academic and experiential learning opportunities for their students.
Please note: Natik is a development organization that runs individually crafted, interactive travel experiences. We do not operate as a travel agency. Income from these trips helps Natik subsidize our year-round administrative expenses of supporting our Partners as they grow impact in their home communities.
