ANADESA: This is how we demonstrate our friendship!

"How do I demonstrate friendship in my classroom?"

Friendship is fundamental for everyone, because it promotes sincerity and empathy for others. I demonstrate friendship in my class through the mutual respect we should have, not because I am a teacher and they are my students, but because we are beings with human dignity and purpose, addressing each other as we like and respecting our limitations.

We also show friendship when we share our experiences and personal opinions, when we support each other, regardless of whether we are from another community or another school, and being that helping hand that we often lack in other settings.

Also when we share our feelings, what ails us or what makes us very happy, when we have our space for jokes and we all laugh, also when we all look for the best solutions to our academic or personal problems. We demonstrate friendship by being a friend who listens effectively, and based on my experience, I look for a way to share words when someone needs it.

I promote friendship when I am fair with everyone, understanding their emotions and understanding their doubts, without belittling or judging them. Likewise, having the classroom in optimal conditions students not only see it as a place where they receive classes and are given the necessary materials to fulfill their educational obligations, but as a space that sincerely helps and understands them; a safe place where they feel comfortable and understood.
