Pueblo a Pueblo (PaP): One of us!

Pueblo a Pueblo makes it possible for a lot of students to continue studying. Through the scholarship programs, many of them have been able to fulfill that dream.

A clear example is Ángel, one of our scholarship recipients.  As the coordinator of the scholarship program acknowledges, he lives up to his name in every possible way!

This student has always been responsible and dedicated, and stands out among his peers as a leader.  He loves reading and is always the first to offer to be helpful, both with adults and his classmates.

Even though the stay-at-home mandates during the pandemic were tough for everyone, as they were everywhere but like all other students in Santiago, he went to school once a month to get his assignments and turn in whatever he'd done since the last visit.

All study and homework was done at home, with no computer connection, in isolation. He passed both years, averaging 80-85 in all his classes, and in December 2021 he graduated from middle school (ninth grade).

In January 2022 he entered his first year of diversificado (10, 11, and 12th grades). And he is thrilled to be back in the classroom.

Pueblo a Pueblo loves seeing all our students grow and dream of a different future for themselves and their families!
