International Women's Day
March 8th is an important date, a date to remember the struggle for women's equality around the world. The "International Women's Day" is commemorated so that the daily demands of women to stop abuses, inequalities and femicides are heard even louder.
We know that women were humiliated and considered incompetent and useless for a long time. They were denied the right to express their opinion, participate, lead and many other things. But thanks to the effort and struggle of many, women were given recognition.
Now we can see women in the same positions as men, sometimes standing out more than men. Now we see more gender equality and there are laws that protect the dignity of women.
Although the law protects women now, there are many who are still being violated by men, and for fear of speaking out, they allow acts that can lead to their death.
It is for them and for the generations to come that we must set an example by not allowing men to make us feel inferior.
For this reason, as women we must always support each other, we must speak out and not be silent, much less allow ourselves to be abused, humiliated and made to feel that we are little.
We must be independent and continue to demonstrate that we are capable of doing many things, that just like men, we have a voice and a vote in everything.
men, we have a voice and a vote in everything.
