Ruk’ux Scholarship: Thankfulness

Ruk'ux is made up of a group of 10 young teenage students who have excelled in different ways. This year we feel that it has been a bit difficult due to the many ups and downs we have encountered. Parents  have separated and mothers, grandparents and younger siblings have gotten ill as well.

In the midst of these difficult times, Ruk ux has supported these families emotionally. In order to do this we have to keep looking for activities that can distract the students while maintaining  the primary importance  that all of our programmed activities focus on learning. It is also important  that the students generate good experiences.

On the other hand we are very happy. The school year is over and our students have finished the year with good grades and we also have students who have excelled at their schools.

Dina wants to be a professional nurse, Veronica has already convinced her parents to let her study outside of Santiago to achieve her dreams of becoming a doctor, Rosa is only one year away from graduating in Psychology and Victor wants to be an auditor. With the donations we have received we will soon buy a computer which will be very useful in our upcoming activities.

We have met and received support from those who make up Natik. Thank you for accompanying us in every step we are taking and also a special thanks to all the people who have donated and supported all the activities that Ruk' ux carries out. Thank you for the generous donations and thanks for the wise words we have received throughout the year. We want to continue our work and also increase the group of young people. It is only with the support of our donors can we provide help to more students and find a large space.
