Ruk’ux Scholarship: Vero’s accomplishments.
Experience and small advances.
Ruk'ux is always thinking about and looking for programs and activities for the benefit of our young students. This month we are
highlighting some small achievements.
Veronica's participation in a political group meant a lot. She has made great advances as a professional as well as personal, since she put into practice what we have talked about concerning leadership.
We remember the shy girl who entered the group and to see her now, the young lady she has become, who is not afraid to give her opinion and speak in public, and her progress as a group coordinator gives us great satisfaction and we are very proud of her.
Veronica is the example for her younger siblings. Her progress encourages us to continue training future leaders of the community.
Now we are about to finish reading two books, "A bridge to Terabithia" which talks about the value of friendship and teamwork and "The unique and incomparable Ivan" which tells how humans treat animals and how they see us; through our respect and care for animals.
Also with a group of students we are working on a small entrepreneurship project and we are happily surprised by the great support of the parents.
With this group of students we are making small hummingbirds made with clay and hand embroidery. When they finish the mothers participate by selling them.
In the same way, we are developing activities outside of our small office. Currently, we are working in the Special Education School teaching reading to special needs children with different abilities.
Thanks to activities that we engage in through Ruk'ux, all the students in our scholarship program are acquiring experiences for life.
