Inspiring dreams with school backpacks

Dear friend, we are very grateful to you for receiving our information and for being our ally in seeking the development of the rural communities of Santiago Atitlan.

It is a pleasure to share the news that from now on we will be in a fundraising campaign with the objective of purchasing and providing a school backpack to our beneficiaries. You can find our first funding petition here on DonorSee. 

The backpacks and all that they will have in them once we finish this fundraiser will facilitate access to education to children and adolescents students of primary and basic level in rural areas of the municipality of Santiago Atitlan.

What changes or results could we have if we reach the goal? 

90 children and 45 adolescents will be able to start the school year and have access to education without any inconvenience since they will have the necessary materials to start the 2023 school year. 

With the delivery of a school bag we would be minimizing the rate of child labor for 95 families. 

Why is it important for our community? 

Many students do not start a new school year because they do not have the materials to do so, due to the economic scarcity of parents and even more now when we are all facing a price increase in products, especially in the basic food basket. 

Parents focus on bringing food home, as it is a basic need, while education is seen as an option according to the needs of the family.

With your support we will be able to give students the opportunity to start another school year and ensure their education for the year 2023.
