Pueblo a Pueblo (PaP): International literacy day
International Literacy Day
Education in all our projects
According to Unesco, education at a global level is a factor in production because it allows us to put an end to the root of many economic problems.
As an organization, we have made sure that our projects contribute to the promotion of education. We consider that education is one of the pillars for the advancement of development. Therefore, we take great care and satisfaction in sharing the work that each project does for development.
The scholarship project fights for education, with the purpose of encouraging children from rural areas of Santiago Atitlán to stay and successfully complete their studies at the primary level and not be defeated by adversity.
It is also worth mentioning that throughout time, the education of women has been one of the primary opportunities for the progress of themselves and society. The Maternal and Child Health project, in addition to offering medical services to pregnant women, also provides access to education for mothers on health issues for the welfare of her entire family, following its course on a monthly basis.
The beekeeping project, in addition to offering balanced development at a territorial level, also provides access to education in beekeeping for the welfare of all coffee growing families at the level of the Lake Atitlan basin. Through this, one of the commitments we have acquired is the incorporation of women and men to a system of beekeepers. This has been one of the main opportunities for the balanced development of knowledge, family life and a system of pollinators that guarantees both biological and vegetative permanence.
Meanwhile, in the youth leadership project we are educating young men and women through workshops on business models. This allows them to shape their business ideas at the time they launch their entrepreneurship.
In Pueblo a Pueblo we continue to educate in different ways to pave the way for individual and collective development.
