Ruk’ux Scholarship: Vero’s accomplishments.
Now we are about to finish reading two books, "A bridge to Terabithia" which talks about the value of friendship and teamwork and "The unique and incomparable Ivan" which tells how humans treat animals and how they see us; through our respect and care for animals.

Mujeres Sembrando la Vida: We’re living up to our name.
This month the representatives and other members of Mujeres Sembrando la Vida had a meeting with an organization with which we could be allies to work in actions in favor of the environment and strengthen our organizational activities.

Yo’onik Learning Center: Meet Susana
Now I am studying industrial engineering at the university, and my dream is to help Zinacantán with organic compounds for floriculture and agriculture because the agrochemicals are the cause of health problems in Zinacantán.

ANADESA: July’s fair!
On July 25th the patron saint fair of Atitlan is celebrated in honor of Santiago Apostle. It begins with the allegorical parade, organized by the municipality and all the schools (ANADESA students are rehearsing for their presentation) in which artistic activities, customs and the wearing of Mayan costumes are exhibited.

Natik: The film festival encore and forevermore
You are part of Natik's story.
Your support changes the present and echos into the future.
Our partners invite you to get to know them: watch a few videos and donate!

Mujeres Sembrando la Vida: Pascuala’s story.
Twenty-one years ago, I met Magdalena, and she invited me to participate in a cooperative that she was forming. My children were still young, so I had to stay at home to take care of them. For this reason, I found it interesting to be able to weave at home and help my husband cover some of our family expenses.

Traveling Library: We love sharing stories
On Saturdays Leslie is in charge of a group of girls that we have started. With them she shares books and practices reading. The girls are very excited to belong to that group because they get to hang out with other girls of different ages.

Pueblo a Pueblo: Meet Gerardo!
I have been teaching bee management and care for 13 years with 11 groups of ten people each, and all the work has been done in PaP

Ruk’ux: Vero’s inspiring story
I found out about Ruk'ux through my grandmother because she works with the family of the scholarship coordinator. She allowed me to be part of her scholarship group, I started when I was studying at the elementary level, and I have been participating in the Ruk'ux program for ten years now.

Yo’onik Learning Center: Meet Susana
After so many years at Yo'onik, I am very much a part of the internal evaluation and continuous learning processes, always motivated to benefit the next generations of scholarship recipients and primary school children who want to stay in school as long as they can.

Natik: Today we begin the Natik Film Festival FUNDraiser!
In this email, the partners are listed in order of greatest financial need. Each partner has a distinct set of individual donors, institutional support, and grants. Some partners are 100% funded by (or through) Natik and some have completely unrelated funding sources.

Mujeres Sembrando la Vida: Strengthening our core
MSV is certified by the Fair Trade Federation, so our artisans are paid dignified wages to create modern products with traditional techniques. We're thrilled by all we've been able to accomplish with your help, but at this point we need to pause and strengthen our core in order to sustain our growth into the future.

Ruk’ux Scholarship: Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders!
As you know, each year ten extraordinary students can study and become well-rounded leaders of tomorrow in Santiago Atitlán, Guatemala.

ANADESA: A plastic table isn’t enough
Gratefully, our programs and impact are growing. However, that means more staff, and the spaces we share are no longer adequate.

Yo’onik Learning Center: Students and leaders
The children and adolescents are encouraged to honor their traditions while thinking critically, and to express their thoughts and feelings with confidence.

Traveling Library: A book also needs retirement
Many of older books need to be replaced since they've been loved by so many children that they need to be retired from circulation--- for all of the obvious reasons! 😊

Pueblo a Pueblo: Reving up the youth leadership program.
We're excited to announce that on June 9th our fundraiser begins. Our goal is to raise $8,000 so we can have enough to complete the beekeeping program for this year.

Natik: Let’s go fishing.
I'd be willing to wager that in the relentless rip tides of daily life, it’s often much easier to give away fish than to take the time to go on an allegorical fishing expedition! 🐠
Don’t get me wrong; sometimes, giving away fish (or lots of fish) is exactly what’s needed.
However, sometimes we skip the teach-learn opportunities in favor of expediency. What we gain in time we lose in knowledge transfers, which are incremental and cumulative.

Pueblo a Pueblo: Creating leaders!
At Pueblo a Pueblo we have the Youth Leadership project

Puerta Abierta Open Books Program: Biographical month!
In the last weeks of the school year in Atitlán, we dedicated some time to explore various biographies
